   野坂昭如も参加した傑作ライヴ盤『青山246深夜族の夜』。それから約半年で登場した本作は、旧作のリミックス、バンドおよびメンバーのソロでの新曲などを収録した企画盤だ。
   彼らの音楽の魅力は、なんといってもその無国籍性と猥雑さだ。歌謡曲、R＆B、ファンク、ロックなどをごった煮にしたサウンドには、香港やソウルをはじめとする、東アジアの「濃い」都市特有の熱気や臭気がたっぷり詰まっているかのよう。港町横浜出身の彼らだからこそ生み出せた、とてもユニークでファンキーなアジアンミュージックだ。
   もちろん、本作でもその濃い味は十分に味わうことができる。<11>~<18>は、小西康陽をはじめとする豪華リミキサー陣によるノンストップトラック。ヴォーカル横山剣のソロ<10>では、歌唱力に定評のある渚ようことのデュエットを披露する。（今井直也）

もう（１）のイントロでノックアウトですよ！店で試聴して、速攻でレジへ持っていったのが去年の５月。それから現在まで何百回聞いたか分かりません。それでもまだ飽きないと言う、驚異的なパワーを持ったアルバム、じゃないマンモスシングルです（どう違うんだ？）。まあ、悪いことは言わないから、聞いてみてください。悶絶モノのカッコよさ＆素晴らしさです。

在りし日の歌謡曲ならではの猥雑性たっぷりの作品。 J-POP的軽さは無く、イナたさがいい。類似性のあるのはエゴラッピンか？ ブラックミュージックファンもイケますよ。 近田春夫氏も愛聴の1枚とか。

とぼけたタイトルとジャケットとで、何なのか分からないかも知れませんが、予想を覆すしっかりした音です。ブルースっぽいボーカル、ホーンなどを使った迫力ある伴奏、渋すぎる出来栄。横山剣さんの２００３を昭和７８年と呼ぶノリが活きている、本格の音がつまっている。
