美女が大好きなコブラが一人の美女と出会う・・・それがすべての始まり。
愛、と呼ぶまでに高ぶった感情を持てないまま、頼まれるまま妹の救出や捜索を行ううち、コブラはある星を巡った争いに巻き込まれてしまう。
感情を言葉にしないコブラのふとした仕草や言葉に胸が締め付けられます。

松崎しげるの声もまたよし！主題歌もこの映画にあっていて素晴らしい！！
泣けることうけあいです！！

TV版・原作とは違った内容ですが、非常に単体として纏まっています。
主役の声優には異論もあるでしょうが、TV版と映画版を足して２で割ると原作のイメージに近づくと思います。
＊野沢さんは砕けたときがベランメエ調過ぎ、松崎さんは少しシリアスさにかける印象。
一部、現在の水準で見ると、粗い作画（メカ系）も見受けられますが、ご愛嬌でしょう。
その分、人物の作画はとても高いです。
＊TV版は逆にどうしても粗さが目立ちます。
女優陣のアテレコもかなり良く、やはり大人な雰囲気を醸し出していると思います。
クリスタルボーイもTV版より冷徹さを感じるアテレコで、これはこれで良いでしょう。
＊TV版は声がちょっとカッコ良すぎな印象。
デジタル彩色の軽い色とフォント処理の線の硬さと対極にある「手仕事」の映像は柔らかくて良いですね。
音楽が999劇場版２とほぼ同じな数曲のため、星４です。

この劇場版以降にTV放映された「スペースコブラ」の野沢那智さんも良かったけれど、ボクは主題歌も歌ちゃった松崎しげるさんの声の方がコブラのイメージに近かった。
あのハスキーボイスがたまらない（だみ声とは云わないでね…）
