なんつっても三曲目の「サニー」が有名だし、
何度聞いてもやっぱり無条件にカッコいい。

パット・マルティーノのウォームなギターももちろんいいんだけど、
それと同じくらいエレピが冴え渡っているアルバム。
エレピはこう弾け！的なバイブルとしても、
ハービー・ハンコックの「洪水」「V.S.O.P」に並ぶくらいのお手本だと思う。

「サニー」にフォーカスされがちなアルバムだけど、
ほかの二曲も張り詰めたテンションの中で繰り広げられる、
ものすごいインタープレイの応酬で、思わず聞き入ってしまう。

プレイヤーが聞けば感銘を受けるのはもちろん、
プレイヤーならずとも、絶頂期のパット・マルティーノのオイシイ部分を、
一気に聞き倒す事のできる、オススメの一枚。

これ聞いてピンとこないなら、
きっとほかのアルバムを聞いても、
パット・マルティーノにピンと来ることはないと思う。
間違いなく傑作に分類される一枚。

もっと長ければいいのに。。。
いつまででも聞いていたくなる、アルバム。

米国のギタリスト、パット・マルティーノのライヴ・アルバムです。３曲しか収録されていませんが、ほとんどがマルティーノのソロで、聴き応えはバッチリです（他のメンバーのソロはほんの少しずつ）。全体に漂う、黒くて重い雰囲気が最高です。テーマを音色の似たキーボードと一体となってメカニカルにきめ、ソロではブルージーで熱い演奏を展開しています。特に「サニー」でのソロは、まるでグラント・グリーンの早回し（？）のような格好良さです。

いやあ、すごいです。すごいの一言。
技術だけじゃだめ、感情だけじゃだめ、でも両方を完璧に備えているパット・マルティーノにはそんな言葉は関係ない。
サニーの圧倒的なソロ、一度聴いてみて！
技術だけじゃなく、構成もすばらしい。
ギターを弾いているのではなく体全体がギターではないのかと思わせるほどです。
いやあ、買ってよかった。
