1982年の作品なので、今見ると内容に古臭さを感じる点も若干あるものの、
素直におもしろいと感じた。

マクロスとゼントラーディ軍が戦うはめになった理由付けとか、ヴァルキリー
が変形できる理由などに少しばかり強引さを感じないでもないけど、今後の話の展開を楽しみに思える。

あと、「宇宙マグロ」が妙にリアルなのに笑える。

マクロスは多種な要素が絡み合ってるので、定義付けは難しい所。SF,ロボットアニメと
しての楽しみ方、ラブロマンス、ミュージク要素と色々あります。一番の魅力はやはり
キャラクター。一条輝、ミンメイをはじめ、本当に心惹かれるキャクターばかり。
戦争ものだがシリアスな描写方じゃなく、極限状態でも、どこかロマンティックな描写
がみてて心救われるというか、ホッとできます。

勿論、河森正治によるメカニックデザインはかっこいい。可変戦闘機のバルキリーの
奇抜さは最高。
