ブラジルといえばサンバとボサノヴァだけって思っていませんか？ショーロは楽器だけの編成で、いわゆるブラジルのクラシック音楽の大衆版（と自分では思う）で、コテコテのサンバを聴き過ぎて耳が疲れたら是非お勧めしたい一枚です。
優しく軽く耳をなでるギターとカヴァッコの音が心地良く、パンデイロのリズムがブラジルらしさを醸し出します。

1日中流し続けても飽きないでしょう、この耳に優しく語りかけるショーロの調べ。ＣＤ付属のブックレットには歌詞のほか、ミュージシャンの演奏シーンの写真が多数あるのもうれしい。ヒゲのシヴーカの楽しげなこと。見ているとこちらまで楽しくなります。「カフェ・ブラジル」のタイトルそのままに、聴く時のコーヒーはマスト。

日曜の晴れた朝、目覚めのコーヒー片手に聴くのにぴったりのＣＤです。サンバとボサノバを足して２で割ったような...そんな音楽がいっぱい。コーヒーを飲み終える頃には、日差しをあびて今日も1日楽しく過ごそう！と思わせてくれるような...そんな曲が多かったですね。
