3作目にしてスティーブ・ハウがギタリストとして参加。一気にプログレバンドに変化した作品。今でもライブの定番メニューとなっている１，３，４曲目は、構成も演奏もすばらしいプログレの名曲。
ベースのクリス・スクワイアのバリバリと歪んだ下品なベースが心地よい。

次回作の「こわれもの」「危機」が一般的にイエスの名盤と評価されているが、この作品も捨てがたい。

ライブでもお馴染みの曲も多く、メンバーもお気に入りなアルバム！
僕はこの作品の後に出た「こわれもの」から「究極」までを聞いてからこれを聴いたけど、かなり満足できました。
いろいろファンサイトを見たけど、このアルバムをイエスの中でお気に入りに挙げる人も多く、イエスファンに愛されているアルバムです。
