BIG矢沢永吉に曲を提供して莫大な印税を手にしたので、恭蔵さんとkuroちゃんは旅に出て世界を周りながら多くの名曲を作ります。その先駆けがこのアルバム。バックを固めるのはソーバットレビューのメンバー。珠玉の名曲ばかり。ジプシーソングの石田長生のギターの音色もすごいけど、なんせこれほどにシンプルな曲でありながら、本当に景色が見えるような表現力に脱帽。発売当時のライナーに恭蔵さん自身が書いていますがタイトルの「南米旅行」はちょっとオーバーで実は中米までしか行ってないし、歌われてないのだが、そこはお愛嬌で。
