心象風景とも言うべき美しい詩とメロディアスで攻撃的かつビートの効いたサウンドが魅力のD≒SIREの1stアルバム。
それまでにリリースした「静夢」「楽園」「追憶」のシングル3部作の収録曲とさらに新録曲等を追加。
まさに初期〜中期D≒SIREの集大成とも言うべき一枚。

装調はデジパック仕様特殊ケース入り。
歌詞カードは風景等の挿絵を織り交ぜ、より楽曲の世界の深みへと誘ってくれる。

ただ一つ残念なのはあからさまにドラムが打ち込みの曲があること。
少し目立ってしまっているが普通に聴く分には支障は無い。
そういう面では異窓からの風景「想刻」「断章」の方がサウンド的にはより完成されてるので
本作が気に入った方はそちらも聴いてみることをお薦めする。

94〜95年あたりに出したデモテープやシングルCDの曲を中心にした、95年のフルアルバム。ヴィジュアル系の王道をほぼ完璧な形で押さえた、これこそまさにヴィジュアル系だ！という名盤。どこか影があり、ナルチシズム溢れるボーカル。線は細いが、その細さを逆に武器にした、メロディアスで繊細、品があり、鋭く疾走感あるサウンド。幻想的で灰色がかった暗く悲しい世界観。何より歌とギターのメロディーのセンスが抜群に良い。切なくてカッコイイ旋律が次々現れ、捨て曲が全く無い。とにかく馬鹿みたいに聞きまくった作品だが、いまだに聞き飽きないし、全く色褪せることのない魅力。
「DREAMS BURN DOWN」は徐々に力が充溢していく感覚が良い。「SHADES」は悲嘆に暮れたサビも良いが、それ以上にギターソロが極上のメロディーで上り詰め、泣ける。「存在」は妖しいイントロ。サビに向けての盛り上げが上手い。「静夢」はとにかく甘美。「CALL FOR…YOU」は陰鬱、沈んだムード。歌もギターもとにかく泣けるメロ。特に後半はサビが連続し、苦しくなるほど押し寄せる切なさ。「CURSE」はダークで歪んでいるが、気品もあり美麗。「Voices」は歌謡曲的な哀愁メロ。微妙に入るクラシカルなギター旋律が好き。「絆」は軽やかながら、痛いほどに悲しみが滲む名曲！「JESUS？」はデザイアで一番好き。AメロBメロは攻撃的で疾走感あるが、サビは悲哀、うっとり夢心地で酔えるクラシカルなメロディー。最後にその旋律をギターがなぞって盛り上がるのも素敵。「KISSxxx」も名曲！疾走感・キレがあり、だけど妙に滲み出る嘆きの感情。Bメロでの盛り上げ方が素晴らしい。「追憶」は王道的、明るい…なのにどこか儚い。シークレット「人口楽園」はダークに暴れる展開から華麗に立ち上がるメロディアスなギターソロがあまりに鮮やかでハッとする。一番と二番で微妙に違うサビのほの暗い美メロもかなり好き。

現在Kαinの幸也さんが在籍していたバンド〔デザイア〕
シングル三部作を経て制作された記念すべき1stフルアルバムになります。
以後、発売されたアルバムの基盤であり、JILSでも演奏され続けていた〔追憶〕のバンドバージョンが収録された作品です。
このアルバムから幸也さんの独特な歌い回しは確立され、インディーズながら驚異の完成度、セールスを誇った90年代ヴィジュアル系を代表する名盤です。

BEAT ROCKや黒服系がお好きな方は、持っていて絶対後悔はありません！

やっぱり幸也さんの声はぃぃですね。JILSとはちょっと雰囲気違います。でも、楽曲の完成度は高いです。
