DOKKEN、QUEENSRYCHEを手掛けたニ−ル・カノンがプロデュースした３rdです。
キャッチー且つフックのあるメロディ、トニー・ミルズの伸びやかなボーカルとハーモニーを活用し、スティーブ・ハリスのギターが要所でエッヂを効かせる「メロディアス・ハードロックの王道」と言える作品です。
1.EMERGENCY や 8.TALK TO ME のイントロを筆頭に<key>を大胆にフィーチュアしたことが今作の特徴でありサウンドに厚みを持たせたことは間違いありません。
6.UNDER FIRE の間奏部での<g>と<key>のカラミは涙モノです。
トニー・ミルズの真骨頂、バラードは 4.JUST LOVE ME と 9.WHEN THE LOVE IS OVER で WHEN〜の方がドラマティックです。
11→13のボーナス・トラックはボーカルが引っ込んだ感じでサウンドの質は落ちますが許容範囲内です。
SHYを脱退してTNTに加入した新作を聴いて期待外れだっただけに改めて聴き直すと今作の素晴らしさを痛感しました。

イギリスの名バンド、ＳＨＹの３枚目のアルバム。アメリカ進出を視野に入れ力を注ぎ込んだ名作である。まずなんといっても1。そのスピーディーでスリリングな曲は聴く者を引きずり込む。他にも名バラードの4、あのドン・ドッケンとの共作5など聴き所は多い。またこのアルバムにボーナスで入っている11,12,13が本編以上ともいえる曲で、非常にお得だと思う。

　すばらしいメロディ展開、ハイトーンで透明感あふれるボーカル。1曲目「Emergency」が流れた瞬間、ノックアウトの人も多いはず。キーボードの流麗なイントロが気分をもり立て、すばらしいサビに繋がっていく。

　ミドルテンポの「Can't Fight The Nights」「Young Heart」、バラードの「When The Love Is Over」など名曲が満載。メロディアスハードロック好きだったら涙モノの1枚だ。
