   松本零士の同名漫画を原作とした社会現象にもなったアニメ作品。その劇場用2部作「銀河鉄道999」「さよなら銀河鉄道999　アンドロメダ終着駅」と、新展開序章となる「銀河鉄道999　エターナル・ファンタジー」、テレビ版の東映まんがまつり用として制作された「ガラスのクレア」の4作品を収録したDVDボックスセット。

   機械伯爵を倒すため、永遠の命を手に入れるため、謎の美女メーテルの協力を得て銀河鉄道999に乗り込みはるか彼方のアンドロメダへと旅立つ少年・星野鉄郎。停車する星々で出会う人々との交流を経て、少年から大人へと成長していくさまを描くSFファンタジーの傑作。ハーロック、エメラルダスといった松本キャラも総登場し、各作品でしばしば語られるトチローの死も描かれ、松本零士作品の総決算ともなっている。（田中　元）

劇場版のセットはとても嬉しい限りです！
縮小版のパンフレットも最高！
TV番とは違いキャプテン・ハーロックやクィーン・エメラルダスがでてくるのも嬉しい限りです。
年代が違うため(親の年代かな？)同年代に話の通じる人がいないのが残念なくらいすばらしい作品だと思います。
見たことのない方は是非見たほうがいいと思います。

個人的にはエターナルファンタジーの続きが気になって仕方ありませんが…
そのへんは続編希望と言うことで。

ほんとに待ちに待った999のDVD、 今回は劇場版４つですが、 収録されているのが、ほとんどビスタサイズで、 どうせなら、全編4:3のオリジナルも入れて欲しかった。 ちょっと残念ですが、サウンドがいいのでまあ良し。 絵コンテ連動は初めてみましたけど、 絵コンテと本編での微妙な違いを楽しめました。 今度はＴＶ版を期待したいです

この作品は日本アニメ史上に輝く名作です。
わたしはビデオでも持っているのですが、DVDで出ると聞いてすぐ買いました。
個人的には「さよなら銀河鉄道999」が一番好きですが、見てない人がいるなら
今すぐにでも観て欲しいですね。
「劇場版　ああ女神さまっ」のパンフレットにも書いてありますが、
この作品に影響を受けたアニメイターは多いと思います。
