｢SONG FOR BRIDE｣　すごくシンプルなアレンジで泣けてくる。全体を通じて、悲しいメロディーが印象に残るが、逆境に居て流されながらも前へ突き進んでいく普通の女性の逆風パワーを感じる。時代と合わせてみると、下り坂だから、きっと進んでいける。捨て曲なしの1枚。

ユーミンといえば''冬''というイメージですが、以外に彼女は夏の曲もおおく手がけています。
そんな彼女を象徴するかのような''夏''のALBUMがこの『acacia』です。
彼女自身も各メディアにおいて、今回のこのAlbumは''夏''のALBUMだと言っていました。

そして、また今まではアルバムのその殆どの曲にタイアップがついていたユーミンがここ数年はけっこうひっそりとした活動になっていたのですが、今回のアルバムはおおくタイアップもついて、まさにユーミンらしいアルバムだと思います。

もちろん、タイアップの有無に限らず、それぞれの曲が切なかったり教えられたりと、ユーミンワールドが堪能できる一枚だと思います。
特に彼女自身が自分自身を励ますために作ったと言っていた「PARTNERSHIP」は心温まる一曲になっていると思います。

例年、年末にYumingの新譜を聞きながら、冬への思い、雪への思いを高める人が多いのではないか？私もここ十数年このパターンであった。

　初冬ではなく初夏のアルバムリリースは、たしかパールピアス以来か。夏のイメージが強いのか？新たなチャレンジが多いのか？じっくり煮詰めた発売で、内容の濃い新たなものが・・・。と色々想像していたが、一言で言うと「懐かしさの中にも新しさ、新しさの中に懐かしさ」があるアルバムに仕上がっている。YUMINGの新旧エッセンスがまぶしてあり、聞き込むほどに味わい深い内容となっている。一方、１年半煮詰めた割には・・。との感も無くも無い。よって評価は星４つ。
