とにかく、オープニングのヘリオン~エレクトリック・アイへの流れが凄い！これを聴いて何も感じないのなら、ヘヴィー・メタルと言う音楽を聴くのは止めた方が良い。と言い切れるくらいの大傑作です。間髪入れず続く、ライディング・オン・ザ・ウインド、高速で激情的なスクリーミング・フォー・ヴェンジャンス等の正統的HMに、ブラッド・ストーンや大ヒットのアナザー・シング等のポップ感覚抜群のHMチューン、ペイン・アンド・プレジャーやアルバム・ラストを締め括るデビルズ・チャイルド等の背徳的様式が炸裂するHMチューンと言う、楽曲のバランス感覚や配列も最高のアルバムです。とにかく、これを聴かずに死ねるか！このアルバムの特にメタリックな部分を強調した次作、背徳の掟（Defender Of The Faith）も必聴盤で有る事は当然です。

　1982年、ジューダス　プリーストは通算8枚目のアルバム「復讐の叫び」をリリースしました。このアルバムはアメリカで見事プラチナディスクに輝き、彼らが目指していた、全米制覇を成し遂げるに至った。またこのアルバムはジューダス　プリーストの名盤でもあり、またHM史に残る歴史的名盤の一つです。

　このアルバムにはシングルで大ヒットした8をはじめ、彼らの代表曲の一つでもある1、2などが収録されており、また今にも鳥肌が立ちそうなほどのダイナリズムなサウンドが印象的な3は彼らの名曲の一つです。また4や7は自分的に気に入ってる曲です。5はこのアルバムの中で一番ポップな曲だと思います。

　このアルバムはジューダス　プリーストの最高傑作の一つにあげるのにふさわしいアルバムだと思います。自分自身はこのアルバムをジューダス　プリーストのアルバムのベスト３にあげるほど素晴らしいアルバムだと思っています。このアルバムはHM史に残る名作なのでHR/HMファンの方は一度聴いてみてはいかがだろうか？

あぁ、素晴らしいです。これがメタルです。もう何も言う必要はありませんよね。さぁ、「そういえば最近聴いてねぇな」という方も、「何言ってんだ、バリバリ聴いてるぜ！」という方も、ご一緒に。♪I'm protected electric eyeー！！
