フランスのプログレ・パワーメタルバンド、アダージョの1st。荘厳なシンフォニックさの中にステファン・フォルテのネオクラギター、そしてPINKCREAM69のボーカルの超ハイシャウトが売りである(PINKCREAM69の150倍は本気だしてるな)。ここまで教会くさい雰囲気をよくだせたという感じ。まだこのころはプログレ色は弱く、ミドル〜ハイの中間ぐらいのテンポのメロパワが多い。特に「Sanctus Ignis」は必聴の名作だろう。ネオクラギターも冴えてるし、ボーカルは声張り上げるだけではなくまさしくプロだし、Keyはバッキングもソロもとてもいい仕事してるし言うことなし…なのだが問題が一つある。キラーチューンがない!前述の「Sanctus Ignis」は名曲なのだがどうもカリスマ性に欠ける曲なのである( 荘厳な雰囲気づくりのためかもしれないが…)。メンバー一人一人はもちろんバンド自体もかなりうまいのだが、全体的にダラダラした空気が流れてしまうのがとても残念だ。はっきり言えばもっとアグレッションがほしい。ただ人それぞれ好みがあると思うので、神聖シンフォニック派の人はこの1stを。アグレッション派の人は3rd「Dominate」がおすすめ。是非参考にしてください。

個人的に、このバンド（というか、ステファン・フォルテ）は、天才と思っています.まず、メロディーがとんでもなく良い。かなり荘厳です。といっても
ありがちなシンフォニーを使っている訳ではなく、ライナーノーツにあるように、イメージとしては格調高い感じ。まるで教会でメタルを聴いているような

（笑）感じです。常人では思いつかないメロディーと展開。スピードはそれほどありませんが、テクニカルです。メロディーを活かしてます。PC69のVoもこのバンドでは、気合入りまくり。Keyはもちろんバカテク。全てが完璧。そこらの音楽家ぶってるインチキネオクラバンドを蹴散らす完成度！素晴らしい！これが上流階級のメタルだ！！（笑）

フランスの若き天才ギタリスト、ステファン・フォルテのネオクラ・プログレプロジェクト。音楽性は、イングウェイよりもSYMPHONY Xに近い。
このプロジェクトは、彼の驚異的なギタープレイが売りなのだが、ゲストプレイヤーの豪華さも目を見張るモノがある。リチャード・アンダーソン(MAJESTIC)の超絶キーボードも凄いが、一番凄いのは、デビッド・リードマン(PINK CREAM 69)のボーカル。凄まじいまでの声量と音域・・・そして表現力。はっきりいって、ここまで上手いとは思っていなかった。
でも、曲の方は、イマイチ魅力に欠ける。ファンタジックな"IN NOMINE…"、デビッドの超高音シャウトが凄まじい"SANCTUS IGNIS"はいい曲だけどね。
