こちらは、勝野慎子という女性シンガーが
南さおりの名曲をカバーした1曲となっています。
とは、言うもののなんですが
個人的には森高が歌っていたのしか知らないGenerationであり、
従ってアイドルポップスという観念で、割と乾いた視点で見ててやりました。
軽薄ね。とかそんな感じにね。
けれどこちらでは勝野慎子の、カスレ気味で独自のパンチを内包したボーカルと共に
デンデケなロックンロール的な風味にアレンジされたサウンドが、なんとも爽快。
かつガツンとしたロックスピリットもありつつで
なんとも聞きやすいロックチューンに仕上がっています!
タイトルの“17才”、歌詞の若々しさ大爆発なはじけたアンバイ、と
サウンドの感じも見事にリンクしていて
聴いていてキモチがいいです!
森高のブリブリな感じも悪くないケド
アレンジ面でいって、最もよく歌詞の世界とマッチしているのは寧ろコチラという印象。

勝野慎子というシンガーのコトはあまりわからないケド
なかなか悪くない歌唱。
しかしカップリングの表記を見ると
どうやら singer song writerらしく、カバーをやるというのは
ある種、背水の陣的境地に立たされたタイミングでの苦肉の策だったのかも。
しかし、そうは言ってみたもののなんですが
この「勝野慎子の17才」は間違いなく絶品であり
聴く価値、歌う意義があると思う。
だからそう言った意味で、そんな境地に立たされていたかも知れないというコトも
感謝すべきpoint。

まあ、能書きはいらないの。
この永遠の青春アンセム、きみのハートに届け!!!

ちなみにこの曲、当時ポカリかなんかのCMに使われてました。
「オハヨ――――――――――!!」って屋上かなんかから女子高生が叫んでたアレ。
