チャイニーズオデッセイ１ではシンチー作品らしく、いろいろと可愛い笑いをもたらしてくれますが、２ではうって変わって恋愛色が強くなっています。登場人物も増え、人間関係を把握するのがちょっと大変でした。孫悟空として覚醒し人間としての感情を捨てたシンチーは、特殊メイクで外見が完全に猿状態であるものの、それがかえって彼のもつ演技力を際立たせる結果につながったように思えます。特にラストのあたり、アテナ・チュウとのシーンは何度見ても泣けます。「喜劇王」と称されるシンチーの映画でまさか泣くなんて･･･しかも猿なのに･･･！オススメです！

其の壱とセットで観ないと意味がないのですが、最後まで気合入れて観ると、そのごほうびに、超感動が待っています。しかもじ~んと感動が長続きする
ほどの難解な仕掛けが壱と弐にセットされています。ぼぉ~と観ずに、ぜひ真剣に観て欲しい‥。話は西遊記＋恋愛モノですが、その恋愛部分が、もの悲しく、実に繊細。センスが光るラストです。

単なるコメディでないです、ラストは泣けます。前編から面白いの一言に尽きる話しだったけれど、後編からはだんだん切ない話しへと転換してきます。周星馳がたんなるコメディ俳優ではなく、非常に実力の備わった大スターである証拠がこの映画につまってます。はっきりいって必見です。
