ＮＹ出身の２２歳。全米ビルボードで初登場１位になったアルバムです。ファーストシングルの「ＦＡＬＬＩＮ’」は、全米ビルボードで６週に渡って１位を獲得しました。

このアルバムの発売は２年前なので、若干２０歳でこの才能！
デビューアルバムでこれだけ完成度が高いなんて、なんだか末恐ろしいです。

今どきのヒップホップとオールドスタイルのＲ＆Ｂ、そしてブルージーなジャズを融合した、批評家も大絶賛のおっしゃれ~なアルバム。
実際、去年のグラミー賞では主要５部門を独占受賞し、一人相撲状態だったもんね。

この人の特徴は、ピアノを弾きながら歌うこと。

宇多田ヒカルも入学した名門コロンビア大学出身の才女、おまけに綺麗で上品な顔立ち。そしてスタイルもいいっ！
文句のつけどころないです・・。

全体的に大人向けかな。部屋でゆっくり、コーヒーでも飲みながら聴くと、か~なり癒されますよ。
ローリン・ヒルやインディア・アリーあたりが好きな人にはおすすめかも・・。

デビューアルバムでここまでやられてしまったらもうかなわないな、という
のが正直な感想である。
声の若さを無視すれば「デビュー３０年です」といっても通りそうな素晴らし
い歌唱力。ステージでもまったく乱れない本物の歌唱力である。表現力がすで
に良い。
R&Bということになっているが、今のR&Bをほんの少し入れているところもあ

る。だが、全体的にゆったりとしてマイナーがちな曲の数々からは、クラシ
ック、ジャズ、ブルースなどの素養がのぞく。
ほぼ全曲、アリシア自身が作曲・編曲・プロデュースを手がけ、あますところ
なく才能をみせてくれる。
イタリア系でもあってなかなかキレイで、末恐ろしい新人の登場である。
