曲も歌詞もぶっ飛んでます。強烈すぎるインパクト、放送禁止でヤバイ、開き直ったようなエロさ。ここまで貫いたら立派です。圧倒されます。Dirのエロと狂気の世界をエロ寄りで極端にディフォルメ化し、ギャグ・ユーモア・歌謡曲っぽい切なさを絶妙にブレンドし、針の振り切れた変態的で異常な世界を作り上げている。初めて聞いた時はかなり衝撃だった。
「性的緊張インプラント」はトリッキーな曲調。歌謡曲っぽい非常に切ないメロディーで別れの悲しみを純粋につづった詩を歌ったかと思ったら、それが急変する曲調とともにイカレた笑い声をあげたり激しく卑猥な内容を叫び出す。その落差が異常で病的。「指切りかわした…」の部分の綺麗な高音には本気でうっとりしてしまうが、やっぱり卑猥な叫びがすぐ後に待っている。やってることはむちゃくちゃなんだけど、それが良い。「縄」は切ない名曲。胸をしめつけるメロディー。放送禁止な単語は皆無の真面目な曲…なのに「性的緊張インプラント」と「執行猶予三年」に挟まれていて題名が「縄」だからどうしても変な風に思ってしまう。「執行猶予三年」はストーカーの歌。内容がいやにリアルで怖い。詩の語調が無邪気なのが不気味で病的。狂ってる。果ては、XXを飲みなさいとか言い出すし…いろんな意味で圧倒されます。

この一枚で蜉蝣がどんなバンドか分かると思います。メロディアスな「縄」はお勧めです。
