圧倒的な濃さ、妖艶、耽美、魔性、ゴシックなユニットVELVET EDENのプロモーションビデオ。インディーズにしては非常に完成度の高い作品だと思う。前作「人形娼館」から３曲、次作「Street of Alice」から３曲、SEが３曲と、ボリュームもなかなか。闇の中から浮かび上がる妖しい仮面、こっちをじっと見つめている不気味な人形の群、お姫様のような姿のDADA氏の巻髪の上を蠢く毛むくじゃらの蜘蛛、古びたオルガンに物憂げにもたれかかるKALM氏、裸にされ横たわるフランス人形の虚ろな眼差し…とにかく徹底された世界観、部屋を真っ暗にして見るとかなり怖い。ライブ映像も使われ、振り子時計、割れた鏡、フェンシングの剣などを用いた演劇的なパフォーマンスの一部も見られる。悪魔のようなおぞましい美しさを持つDADAさんのカリスマ性が爆発。アリプロジェクトなどが好きな人に強くオススメしたい。CD「人形娼館」「Street of Alice」もオススメ。
「異形姫」はいかにも「これから幕が開く！」というイメージがたまりません。毒々しい美しさを持って生まれた少女人形が動き出す。DADAさんのダンスが妖艶。「SAD MASK」は詩のストーリーを映像化している。顔のない男をKALMさんが演じ、彼を誘惑する魔性の女がDADAさん。この曲が特に抜群の完成度！耽美でホラーな曲の世界に引きずり込まれ、閉じ込められてしまいそう。「サーカス病」「人形娼館」は音に合わせて編集されたライブ映像。「MAZE」はシンプル。「LA FIN」はデモテープ再録だが次作「Street of Alice」収録バージョンと微妙にアレンジが違い、私はこのビデオのバージョンが一番好き。歌が上手くなった反面で感情が抑えられ悲痛さが薄れたアルバムバージョンだったが、このビデオの歌はアルバムバージョンと同じくらい安定しつつもデモテープの頃のような激情があり、アルバムではカットされた曲の最後の嗚咽まじりの叫びも残っている。
