60~70年代に数々の奇怪な曲を残した作曲家・藤本卓也の作品をあつめた幻の名盤シリーズの一枚。
藤本には「待っている女」やこのCDのトラック1「あなたのブルース」などヒット曲もあるが、それら含め藤本の作品は、曲調やアレンジが狂気に満ちあふれた凄い作品揃い。

彼のテイチクでの仕事のうち、もっとも毒性の強い作品が集められており、聴けば血液が沸騰せんばかりのカルチャーショックを受けること請け合いである。60年代は、こんな曲が許されたのである。
矢吹健の曲が多いが、どれもこれも血の混じった泥の匂いのする異常な曲ばかり。彼の歌唱力は別な方向に生かされるべきだったのだろう。

そのほかに目を向ければ、藤本の隠れた代表曲「まぼろしのブルース」が２バージョン収録されているほか、梅宮辰夫のエロ歌謡もヒドいの一言。時代が許した藤本イズム。２１世紀に誰も継承しない世界を、いま。
