前作「影牢」のサントラと比較すると、儀式的な色彩の曲は影を潜め、ドラマチックな旋律の曲が目立っていたのが印象的。前作よりも聴き易くなったと言えるかもしれない。楽曲群は相変わらずクオリティの高い作品ばかりでボリュームも申し分なく、曲の指向性はより多様になって作風が広がっている。ゲームをプレイして音楽に耽溺した人は勿論、このシリーズのファンは迷わず購入すべき一品。

前作「影牢」に比べると、今度は主人公が「正義」という立場になっている分、やっていること(侵入者を殺す)は同じでもダークさのレベルは下がったような気がする。←これはあくまでゲームとしての感想だが

なので、その音楽からも多少ダークさが失われていることは否めない。これよりは前作「影牢」の方がゲームも音楽もオススメ。まぁこれを聴いてゲームの世界に没入することはできるので、ゲームミュージックとしての役割は果たしていると言える。

収録されている曲数は全部で｢63曲｣。CD一枚だけのサントラとしてはかなり多め。
ゲーム本編｢トラップ指南｣の時の失敗時の短い音楽なんかもすべて入っている。

本編をした方は分かると思いますが、クラシックのように綺麗な楽曲と、ドロドロした曲が入り乱れているので、これを聴けば蒼魔灯の世界が浮かぶはず。
結構聴き応えはあります。

個人的に｢断末魔｣集を入れて欲しかった。
