空気公団のＣＤは全部もってるけど、これが一番出来がいいと思います。最近のアルバムは、個人的には、クセが抜けてポップになり過ぎて面白くないと感じました。初めてコレを聴いた時、８０年代にＴＶアニメ「名探偵ホームズ」の主題歌を歌っていた「ダ・カーポ」という男女デュオを思い出したなぁ。初めて聴いたのに懐かしい、ＮＨＫの「みんなのうた」にありそうな曲だと思った（実際ありました）。７０年代ポップスを器用に消化した質の高い曲構成、深い意味があるようで無いようなシンプルな歌詞が、「なんだかせつないあっちのせかい」に連れてってくれる。あと、ボーカルのゆかりさんの声質が、高音を苦しそうに発声するところがたまらないです。

空気公団のＣＤは、フルアルバムよりも、「約束しよう」とか本作のような５曲入りミニアルバムの方が、全体を通して物語性を感じるので個人的には好きです。「融」「こども」は、曲毎にイメージにばらつきがあり、好きな曲しか聴かないけど、本作は、スキップせずに全曲通して聴くのが一番です。

初めてコレを聴いた時、直感で８０年代にＴＶアニメ「名探偵ホームズ」の主題歌を歌っていた「ダ・カーポ」という男女デュオを思い出しました。初めて聴いたのに懐かしい、ＮＨＫの「みんなのうた」にありそうな曲だと思った（実際、曲提供してました）。歌詞は、童話みたいにとても繊細で、あまり意味を限定させてないので、聴いた人それぞれが自由に「仮想の都市風景」のようなイメージにふんわりひたれると思います。一人称が「ぼく」なのもピッタリです。バックの器用な演奏センスが無いとこの雰囲気は出せないでしょう。極めつけが、ボーカルのゆかりさんの声質。高音を苦しそうに発声する所がたまらないです。

　このミニアルバムは、本当に素晴らしい。

　これで終わっていれば、ある種の伝説になったろうに。

　これ以後もＥＰは良い作品があるが、おおむねここで終わり。

　フルアルバムの酷さには驚くと共に、この作品の特別さを浮き立たせてもいる。
