ECHOESの4thアルバムにして、ECHOESの最高傑作との呼び声も高い名盤。全曲必聴！と言っても良いくらいだが、あえて選別すると、「GENTLE LAND」「Hello Again」「Tonight」「Air」「Good-bye Blue Sky」。どのベスト版よりもベストだと言っても過言ではない。

受験戦争の中、友達をライバルだと思えと教えられ、テレビをつけても他人のゴシップ記事ばかりでうんざりしている人々。だけどやっぱり「愛されたい」。そんなごく普通の感情を歌にしたECHOES屈指の名曲「GENTLE LAND」。

学生時代はアメフトでも活躍、他人にも負けたことがなかったのに、今では普通のクリーニング屋で働いている。そんなクリーニング屋で毎日扱っている没個性の象徴「Yシャツ」。俺は没個性の集団の中には埋もれたくない。走り出すなら、今夜だ。夢を持って今それに向かって動こうとする青年の姿を描いた「Tonight」。

夢は何度も敗れるが、また夢へと挑戦する。その夢への旅立ちの前夜を叙情的に歌った「Good-bye Blue Sky」。

80年代を代表する名盤です。
ECHOESの発するメッセージに、ぜひ耳を傾けて聴いてほしい。
