「ジャーニー」が聴きたくて、購入したわけだが、
聴くものの年齢によって、こうも受け取り方が違うのかと驚かされた作品である。
もんたがデビューした頃、まだ私は高校生で、
「ダンシングオールナイト」がなぜあんなにヒットしたのかよくわからなかった。
対象的に、父は「ダンシングオールナイト」の大ファンであった。
DESIREやギャランドゥにしても、騒がしい歌というだけで好印象は持っていなかった。


今聴いてみて（購入したのは１０年も前だが）、一つ一つの曲がよくわかるというか、
「理解」できた。
売れたのも、さもありなんと思う。

高校生の僕は、もんたを聴くには若すぎて、当時の親父の年に近づいてはじめて、
その良さを再発見したということだろう。

４０歳ぐらいの方へ。
もんたって、今聴くとすごくいいよ。
