当りまえですけど、ベストアルバムのようなものなので、ハッとさせるものはないですね。でも、彼らの作品全部は知らないって人にはいい曲ばかりなのでお薦めです。 "Close to you"や"Time After Time"も彼ららしいちょっとビートルズ的チープ感を取りこんだアレンジになっています。究極のバラード"ロマン"とオリジナル局"Time Is Over"は心に響きます。 何か心に響くものが。

自分のように新しくSING LIKE TALKINGに興味を持ち始めた人間にとって、
キラーチューンが収斂された「REUNION2」も大満足だったのですが、
これは、もっと深くて広いシングライクの海に潜って見つけられるような、
幸福な時間が詰まっているのです。といってもマニアックなわけではなく、
大人の洗練されたAORで、全曲泣けるようなメロウな曲、普遍的に甘美な楽曲が
たくさんつまっています。「点し火のように」「Standing」…「Time is Over」
二枚組みなので挙げていったらきりがありませんが、
広い海へ漕ぎ出してゆくような、作品のボリュームとクオリティを堪能できると思います。
良い音楽をコレクションされようとしている方で、まだシングライクを突付いていない方は、
ここは是非通られてみてはいかがでしょう、という作品です。
おまけに、それ以前と比べれば比較的音圧が高いので、これを買って大満足でした。

Sing Like Talkingだけが持つ特異性のひとつに、まずは歌詞の美しさが挙げられるでしょう。その姿勢は、デビュー以来変わっていないように思いますが、このベスト版を聴くことで、SLTが辿った軌跡と共に、彼ら独自の世界観にもどっぷりと浸ることが出来ます。実に甘美で、物事の核心をついている、いつまでも心に残る作品たち。疲れて帰ってきた夜、少し部屋を暗くして、深呼吸しながら味わうと、心の中にすっと入ってくるような、優しい気持ちになります。彼らの作品は心を落ち着かせて聴かなければなりません。何故なら、とてもデリケートな作品たちなのですから。

SLTの作品をまだ持っていない人はまず、この作品と"Humanity"を聴くことで、彼らの目指す音楽に触れることが出来ると思います。かなりお薦めの作品であります。
