   1979年に放送開始し、今も続編が断続的に作られ続けている「機動戦士ガンダム」シリーズ。その生誕20周年を記念して、全編実写と3DCGによりハリウッドで制作されたテレビムービー。宇宙世紀223年、食糧危機を救うための生物発光の研究を巡って、元議会軍パイロットのマーク・カランが生物工学主任のシンシア・グレーブス博士と共に陰謀渦巻く議会軍を敵にまわし、サイド4、サイド8の独立も絡んでの物語が展開される。
   本作ではモビルスーツや宇宙空間の大半がCDによって描写されており、これまでのシリーズとはひと味違った美しくリアリティ溢れるものとなっている。特にクライマックスにおける議会軍対反逆軍の戦争シーンはテレビ作品とは思えない迫力。過去の作品からの設定も取り入れて是非シリーズ化して欲しい作品となっている。（田中　元）

アメリカでは、「ガンダム」は作れない。そう痛感した。
Ｂ級ＳＦ映画止まり。
日本のアニメが海外で実写化して成功した例が無い。
この作品も例に漏れない。

本当はこういう事を書いちゃいけないと思うのですがあえて言っときます。
買ってはいけません。
これはガンダムという名前のロボットが出るだけのガンダム外の話です（ややこしい）。
僕が見た感想としては「･･･うわー」の一言です。
ガンダムに対する受け取り方が明らかにこちらと違う事が判明。
これは無いだろうと思いました。

ＣＧの画像はともかく、そのほかの要素は見るべきものなし。安っぽいSFテレビドラマという感じになってしまっている。ＣＧでガンダムを表現するという可能性を拓いたという意味では後々意味が出てくるのかもしれないが、、
