97年にケン・イシイの推薦でリミキサーとしてデビューした、京都在住のエレクトロニック・アーティストのサード・アルバム。音響系やジャズ、テクノ・フィールドにアプローチする世界を展開。


内容 (「CDジャーナル・レビュー」より)

デビュー作でコールドカットに注目され、セカンドは沖野修也らにプレイされた京都在住アーティストの3作目。“レイ・ハラカミ世界の集大成”と評されるこの作品でも、絵を描くように空間に音を置いていくスタイルは変わらない。彼のバックグラウンドに、カンタベリー・サウンドがあるということを聞くと「そういえば」と思わされるが、個人的にはそれ以上に彼の個性と京都の音楽シーンを感じる。5月にライヴが予定されている精華大学がとても似合っている、というのは関西の人にしか通じないか。でもそんな感じ。 (鈴木祐) --- 2001年05月号

電子音がこんなに「ゆらぐ」とは知らなかった。
そしてこんなにも心を揺さぶるということも。
せつなくて、涙しそうになる。ふと見た夕日が美しすぎた時のように。
レイハラカミの作り出す音は、「やさしさ」に満ちている。

クラシックとかジャズとか一通り聞いてきた人なら
この作品は無視できないでしょう。
自分はテクノ経由でこのレイ・ハラカミに辿りついた人間ですが
その後、ジャズやらなんやらを聞きだして、
クラシックは後期ロマン派だよなあなんて思うようになった後に
このCDを聞きなおしてたまげた次第です。
美しい音楽にはジャンル分けなど必要ないことを教えてくれるCDです。
この音の美しさだけで星五つの価値があります。

冷たい電子楽器の音がこの人の手に掛かると、柔らかく温かく優しくなる。
音もそんなに凝ってないのに、優しい世界に感情移入できる。
テクノやエレクトロニカのうねうねしてて頭痛くなると思ってるイメージをもってる人がいたら聴いてみて欲しい。
タラタラ能書きをたれるよりもまず聴いてみるといいと思う。
とてもいい音楽です。おすすめします。
