推理小説家・有栖川有栖氏と綾辻行人氏原作の本格推理ドラマ第一弾。「本格」｢映像」という要素を存分に、思いっきり、隅から隅まで利用していて、本格好きにはたまらない一作であることは間違いないが、小説をあまり読まない人にも映像で十分に楽しんでいただけると思う。
なぜなら､最後に事件の謎が解かれるところが非常に面白いのだ。

これ以上はネタばれになるので言えないが、今までにない（？）推理ドラマだと思う。必見！！

4.0 out of 5 stars 「意外な犯人」に驚かされる。, 2004/3/7
「出題編」のドラマのミスリーディングが効いているため、真犯人の意外性はかなりのものです。作中の安楽椅子探偵は「叙述トリック」と言っていますが、映像にすると「アンフェア」ギリギリという感じもします。

本格ミステリのファンには、自分で犯人を推理することよりも、真犯人を特定していくロジックそれ自体を楽しむ方も多いと思います（私もそうです）が、そういう方なら十分楽しめる作品です。

本格推理の旗手お二人の作ったRPGドラマというので心躍らせて見ました。感想は・・・文句なく面白い！！！解決篇が長くて「引っ張る」感はありますが、役者さんのテンポも楽しく、質が高く、近年になく楽しめました。じっくり時間をかけてみたい作品です。犯人は…お二人の「ロジックでたどり着かないと意味がない」という言葉どおりには・・・いきませんでした！！2でも挑戦するぞ！

真犯人に直結する、映像という視覚を利用した仕掛けが秀逸。たったのワンシーンで、それまでの推理が破壊され、有無を言わせず納得させられる、凄い仕掛け。
