30年以上のキャリアを振り返り、新旧取り混ぜた選曲で贈る新録ベスト。“シャララ~”とかいうジングル(?)が入るかぐや姫のラジオ番組を耳にしてたのは俺が中学生の頃だもんな。主に本人と石川鷹彦のアレンジでシンプルに力強く聴かせる。大ヒット、「神田川」や「妹」を今なおみずみずしく歌い上げることができるってのは凄い。フォーク・ブームの頃、URC派だった俺にとって、かぐや姫や吉田拓郎は、ほとんど仮想敵でしたが、さすがに俺もおっちゃんになって、これはこれで凄いと思えるようになったのだった。 (杉山達) --- 2001年05月号

いままで、こうせつさんが３０年間歩んできた中から新たにこうせつさん自身がチョイスした曲ばかりです。ファンの方には懐かしく、新たにこうせつさんを聞き始めた方には、新鮮な気持ちになります。南こうせつを知るにはこのアルバムが一番いいと思います。
