中島みゆきはこの頃がいちばん充実していたように思います。シングルでヒットしたのとは全然違う印象で聴ける「悪女」など、詞の内容も演奏時間の長さも一曲ごとに違っていますが、中身がびっしりつまっている充実感は共通しています。ラジオのＤＪとして活躍していた時期とも重なるので、今でもこのＣＤを聴くと当時の番組のことを思い出します。

「悪女」が巷でヒットしてた頃のアルバム。
私が好きなのは「砂の舟」「歌姫」。
特に「歌姫」はみゆきさん＝歌姫とも言える内容の美しい曲。
ジャケットの美しいみゆきさんも必見！！

一番多感な頃に買ったアルバムだからか。
私の中では間違いなくNo.1。当時はLPだったが、周りの友人への貸し出し数最多アルバムで、あまりのことに傷が入ってしまった事を覚えている。どんなにハイになっているときでも、このアルバムを聴くと落ち着く。もちろん感傷的な気分にもなるのだが、「冷静に」とか「もう一度考えてみよう」とか自然に頭と心がクールダウンしていく。音楽的な完成度では後の作品のほうが上手にできているなあと思うことがあるが、とにかく感覚に直接訴えてくる力はこのアルバムが最大と思う。

2000年代に「地上の星」から中島みゆきに入った人、1990年代に「空と君のあいだに」からの人、これ聴かなくてはもったいないですよ。でも最大にへこんでいるときに聴くときついかも。
