彼の趣向がキチット纏められて，行き着く所に行き着いた音。
初ソロでは，マイケル・ブレッカー，ロン・カーターなどJAZZの人との音創り(ARCADIAもJAZZがキーワードの一つ)。
DURAN DURAN『THE WEDDING ALBUM』制作の裏にはHIP-HOPと今で言うところのELECTRONICAを掛け合わせた『MELTDOWN』の存在(彼の公式サイトで入手可)。
脱退寸前にはPUNKな『FEELINGS ARE GOOD AND OTHER LIES』の発表。

それらの要素がここでとうとう融合し完結している。

で，何がDURAN DURANと違うのか？
ソロかグループかその違いだけ，音の基本は何も違わない。
ダンスフロワーの先進性とロックの歴史の融合が彼らの基本なのだから。

DURAN DURAN５人組再結集に自然と繋がって行く。
ファンならばDURAN DURANの『POP TRUSH』と聴き比べてみるのも面白い。
