どうしてもセパルトゥラ＝マックス的な感が強く感じられますが、私はやはりイゴール(Dr)とキッサー(G)の超絶プレイがあくまでバンドとしての軸になっているのではと思っちゃいます。彼らがかもし出す音こそが私が求めている音質であり、はっきりいって好みそのものです。しかしながらマックスのデス系とは一線を引いたあのダミ声は、もはや孤高の域に達しているのも事実でしょう。次作でその存在感はピークに達したのでしょうが、私としてはこのアルバムに於けるバックサウンドの進化こそが他を寄せ付けないバンドとしての成長の足掛りになったのではと思います。

自分がセパルトゥラの中で、いいアルバムは何? って聞かれたらまずこのアルバムを示します。現ソウルフライのマックス・カヴァレラ(Vo.G)がいた時代の中では最高作です。当時のセパルトゥラは超激しいデス/スラッシュをやっていたんですね〜。まず、捨て曲が全然ありません。一曲目から一挙に聞けます。また、4Stアルバム『アライズ』もセパルトゥラがスラッシュ・メタルである事を示したアルバムですが、まずはこっちを聞いてみてください。因みに自分的には曲の全てが最高です!セパルトゥラの中では完成度の高いアルバムである事は間違いありません!!

このアルバムをひとことでいうならば、良質のスラッシュメタルです。それも極めて上等!スラッシュ界の大御所達のアルバムと比べても、なんら劣るところはありません。劣るところはないどころか、むしろ上回っているように感じるのは決して言い過ぎではないと思います。メタリカのアグレッシヴさとスレイヤーのスピードの両方を兼ね備えた、まさに最高のスラッシュメタルアルバムだと言えるでしょう。
