ストーリーも、設定も、おバカさ加減も、役者の組み合わせも、今じゃ絶対
作れない（作らせない）事間違い無し。

作りのそこここに見られる「安い」感じも含めて、是非「何もする事のない
気だるい土曜の夕方」に観る事をお薦めします（笑）

でも、何故か確実に変な余韻が残るんだよねぇ。そういう意味では

割とオススメです。鍛える前のスタローンの体も見られるしね。
「一度は観ておきたい、おバカ・お下劣映画」トップ５０をやれば、
確実に２０位くらいには喰い込んでくるでしょう。（誉めてます）

日本で劇場公開されたときは「地獄のデスレース」というタイトルだったと思います
ロッキーで有名になる前のスターローンが出ています
長年この作品をさがしました
何とDVDになりました
うれしいかぎりです
貴重な作品です

マシンのかっこよさや
キャラ立ちしまくりの選手達、
またブラスト全開のパワーヴァイオレンスな
世界観＆レース設定もあり、
そうした派手な側面ばかり捉えられがちな
本作ですが、ただのカルト映画ではなく
ディープなテーマがきっちり存在しています。

紀元前から現在に至るまで物事の究極決定、
国際間の問題の究極解決法は
法にあらず、「暴力」であり、その人間の本質や
性悪性を「正義」の名の下に最も前面に押し出し
世界覇権を握ってきたのがアメリカです。
実際に現実世界では2000年などとうに越していますが
現在でも正義の名の下に強引に暴力介入する
アメリカの本質は変わっていません。

デスレース2000は（ベトナム戦の背景もあり）
そのアメリカを強烈に批判した
実はかなりポリティカルな作品です。

カルトと語るには有名すぎるが
ポリティカルで度パンクな
カッコイイ映像と物語は今見ても
衝撃は薄れてません。
ロッキーやビル抜きにしたって、必見！
