堀江さんと田村さんといえば
アイドル声優の中でも人気のある二人です。
二人とも人気があるだけ声質もよく、
歌もとても上手な方々です。

このＣＤは冬っぽい曲になっていました。
二人の息も合っているかと思います。

このＣＤで最後となってしまった
「やまとなでしこ」ですが、是非また活動してほしいです。

堀江由衣さんと田村ゆかりさんは、それぞれ単独でＣＤを出してきて
いますが、これは２人で組んだユニット「やまとなでしこ」としての
ＣＤです。

表題作の「Merry Merrily」は、岡崎律子さんの作詞・作曲によるも
の（岡崎さんはこのＣＤが出て何ヶ月か後、堀江さん主演のアニメ
「フルーツバスケット」の主題歌を歌った人でもあります）。

堀江さんも田村さんも、２人とも高い声でかわいらしく歌っているな
という印象です。

３曲目には「恋の天使　舞い降りて」が収録されています。収録曲
３曲のうちでこれがいちばん耳慣れているという人も少なくないかと
思います。「世紀末のクリスマス」の歌ですから、２００１年３月に
発売されたこのＣＤのために作られた曲でないのかも知れません。

あと、２曲目は「Trust me, trust you」という曲で、松浦有希さん
の作詞・作曲による作品です。

どの曲も２人の息がぴったりと合っていて、とっても良いです。

声優のユニットはそう多くはないが、その中でもこの
ユニットは注目のユニットの一つである。
両者とも声優業界では有名なほうではあるが、このユ
ニットのみでの活動はまだ少なく各々のアルバムを発
売する活動のほうが多い。
今後の期待はしたいが、おそらく両者そろっての活動
でアルバム化できるのは難しいであろう。

アルバムとしての出来は、ヴォーカル曲であればこの
程度でよいかと思う。
伴奏に少々不自然さ（人工的な作り）が気になるが、
それが曲のコンセプトなのであろう。
