98年にエネスコ賞を受賞し、フランス国立管海外ツアーのソリストとして名をはせたヴァイオリニストのBMGデビュー。中央ヨーロッパの作曲家たちの作品を演奏した意欲作だ。

きわめてアグレッシヴなアプローチが印象的! しかも、心憎いほどエレガントな美音と確かな技巧を備えたヴァイオリニストである。曲目は、冒頭のバルトークからラストのヤナーチェクまで、中央ヨーロッパの民族的素材を各作曲家が腕によりをかけて煮詰めて、“芸術音楽”に仕立てたものばかり。それらをローラン・コルシアは、自らの研ぎ澄まされたセンスで解凍し、今、生み落とされたばかりであるかのようにフレッシュな音楽を聴かせてくれるのである。濃密な情感と熱いドラマが交差するエネスコの「ヴァイオリン・ソナタ第3番」、そしてアクロバット的な技をピタリと決めつつ、即興的な味わいが薫るラヴェルの「ツィガーヌ」も実に魅力的だ。オークレールに師事したコルシアが、出色の若手としてフランスの音楽誌で大評判になっていたのは“情報”としては知っていたわけだが、なるほどこれは評判になるわけだ。ピアノのプルーデルマシェールのサポートぶりも万全である。 (満津岡信育) --- 2001年04月号

コルシアは、音色において、なかなか誰にもまねできないものを持っている。このつややかなバイオリンを聴いて下さい。今後、注目すべきバイオリニストだと思うんだけど、世間の評判はもうひとつなんだよねぇ。なんで、わからんかねぇ。これ、買うべきですよ。
