言わずと知れたデビューアルバム。
もちろんデビュー曲「アザミ嬢のララバイ」も入っている。「時代」をデビュー曲と勘違いされている方が多いが「アザミ嬢のララバイ」が正解。
この頃から中島みゆきというのはただものではなかったようだ。

とにかく１曲目の「あぶな坂」で決まり。これ１曲で星５つを付ける価値が十分にあります。
あの有名な「時代」も、「あぶな坂」を聴いたあとでは凡庸な曲に思えてしまうくらい。
あらゆる好条件が奇跡のように実を結んだ至高の名曲です。

中学生の頃、友達にダビングをして貰って初めて聴いたのがこのアルバム。
最初は怖さを我慢しながら聞いていたのが、次第に詩に惹かれて聴くようになった。
２年も経った頃には、ダビングして貰ったテープがすっかり伸びきってしまった。

あれから20年以上が過ぎて久しぶりに聴いた あぶな坂 と ボギーボビー は、相変わらずの衝撃を私に与える。

今は迷ったり途方に暮れてしまうとき、手元のララバイSINGERと交互に聴いている。
30余年を超えてメロディやアレンジは随分と様変わりし、音程の安定感が増したが、彼女の歌声そのものと伝えたい事は大きく変わらない様に聴こえる。

難点は、詩をに惹き込まれずにいられない為に、何かをしながらでは聴けないところか。
