前作『ギターマン』も良かったけど、すごい好き、このアルバム。
メロディ、歌詞、アレンジ（ライブの方がいい曲もあるが）、ボーカル（歌の表情の付け方）等々、すべてにおいてメンバーの成長を感じる。いろいろ冒険してる。

今までのサムエルのイメージを覆す　1、8、9、もちろん十八番であるアコースティックサウンドと絶妙のハモリを聴かせる　4（目に浮かぶ情景がめちゃくちゃ美しい）、10、12（私の中でサムエルベスト１）をはじめ、すべてをシングルカットしてもらいたいくらい。
良かれ悪しかれ「Something ELse」というバンド名と「ラストチャンス」という曲は広く知られている。世の中にミュージシャンはあまたといる中で、バンド名と（世間一般的な）代表曲を認知してもらってるってすごいこと。それを強みに転じてほしい！

サムエルって曲を聴いてもらえれば天下御免だと思うので、とにかく曲を聴いてもらえる仕掛け作りを周囲のスタッフがきっちり考えてほしいなぁ。

コーラスのハモリを武器にさわやかな風を届けるポップスバンド。ビートルズの影響を濃厚ににおわせる。フックをちらつかせ、キャッチーな楽曲を書くのを覚えたようである。そのへんがわなになるということも事実。チューリップというバンドが昔展開していた哀愁系ポップスをアップデートしてやっている印象。特別な個性は希薄。もしアコーステック的な展開でサウンドをまとめるなら＝ボーカルに強烈なアピールする何か（声の存在感）がないと正直苦しい。もしユーザーが『となりのお兄さん的なアクセスしやすい存在を求めているのなら』それはしょうがないが。
