映画『がんばっていきまっしょい』の主題歌「オギヨディオラ」を歌い、その清涼感ある歌声に聴き覚えのある方も多いと思うリーチェ。昔からのコリアン・ポップス愛好家にはイ・サンウンという名前のほうが通りのいい、韓国を代表するシンガーの通算8枚目となる2年ぶりのニュー・アルバム。前作同様、今回も韓国語と英語で歌われる楽曲の混成になっているが、英語曲では時に平板な印象を受ける部分もある。それとは逆に、当たり前ではあるけれど韓国語曲のほうが自然に彼女の口から歌が流れてくる感じで、メロディへのノリも良く、アコースティックを主体にした穏やかなサウンドとの相性も断然いい。しなやかで透き通ったヴォーカルからヒーリング、あるいはリラクゼーション効果を得られるかは聴く人によって当然違ってくるけれど、聴き終えた後に心地良さが残るのは確か。できれば、全曲韓国語で歌った作品を聴きたい。そんな気にさせる一枚。 (飯塚達弘) --- 2001年03月号
