池田屋事件の後、主人公・緋村剣心（抜刀斎）と偽りにせよ妻となった緋村（雪代）巴。その二人の夫婦としての、抜刀斎である剣心が知った大須での穏やかな生活。
「斬る男」、「迷い猫」、そして最終幕の「十字傷」。その三作品にはあった、迫力のある戦闘シーンはなく、代わりに殺伐とはかけ離れた夫婦の生活を主に描いてありました。

少しずつ心が安らいでいく剣心とは裏腹に、巴は僅かに見せる笑顔に悲しみの影を落とす。それでも二人は惹かれ、心身ともに夫婦となる。
その先にある、悲劇を夢にも思わず…。

幕府と討幕派の動き、剣心の心の揺るぎ。それをものの三十分で収めてあるこの作品は、本当にすごいと思います。
愛と悲しみ、そして歴史的事件もを見事に感じることができます。

物語の展開です。
池田屋事件の後、大津へと向かった剣心と巴。
激動の時代の中で、束の間の幸せと味わう剣心。
「幸せと言うものがどういうものなのか知らなかった」
という剣心。
この幸せを、もしも味わうことが無ければ、るろうにとしての剣心は存在しなかったのです。
毎日の生活の中で、穏やかに日々が過ぎていくことの幸せを剣心は知ったのでした。
その生活の中で、巴の存在は剣心にとってかけがえの無いものへ。
しかし作中の巴の妖艶さときたらもう、ヤヴァいです。
アニメのキャラなのに真剣惚れそうになりました。
そして、口数の少ない巴から語られた過去。
雪の降る夜二人は結ばれます。
その翌日、巴は静かに剣心の元を去るのでした。
１巻、２巻を買ったのなら、３巻も買いましょう。
お勧めです。
