ノヴェラの前身バンド、シェラザード(ちなみに「明日の影」はシェラザード時代の曲)のメンバーだった大久保ジュタローの結成したプログレ・ハード・ロック・バンドの１st。ノヴェラの平山照継プロデュース。「スターレス」だなんて名前からキング・クリムゾンを連想しそうですが、そう思って聴くと痛い目に会う(笑)ジャパメタ女性アイドル歌謡？調のサウンドはアニメちっくで今のほうが受けるかも？　タイトル曲「銀の翼」は絶対的名曲です。

当時も今も、女性VOにこだわり、ハードな演奏とプログレッシブな構築美に
彩られたカッコ良さは、唯一無二の存在であるスターレスのファーストです。
大音量をヘッドフォンでお聞きください。
メロディアスな旋律の中に各パートのテクニカルな演奏が躍動しています。

1985年、初めてスターレスを聴きに行きました。もう20年になる。
銀の翼は録音スタジオがよくなかったせいか、妙にギターが乾きすぎて、じゅらのＶＯＣＡＬも固かった。プログレハードというジャンルで「カッコいい」とこどりしたバンドでした。メンバーチェンジ後も、再結成後も観に行きました。銀の翼は全部コピーしたな。。。
ちなみにジャケットのデザインもこれまたよい。こっちの方がむしろ関心ある方も多いかも。
