   沖縄県石垣島出身の比嘉栄昇、島袋優、上地等の3人から成るアコースティックバンド、BEGIN。比嘉栄昇のせつないほどのヴォーカルが魅力的だ。アコースティックギターを主体にしたサウンドに乗せて、彼が一声発するだけで、彼らならではの世界ができあがってしまう。
   本作では、カリプソを思わせるシングル曲『YOU』やボサノヴァ風の『Midnight Moon』など、多彩なサウンドに挑戦している。しかし、やはり本領はブルージーな作品だろう。ただ、全体に小さくまとまっているのが残念だ。（堤 昌司）

このアルバムで有名なのはシングル曲になった『YOU』などですが、ちょうどこの頃、彼らを取り巻く人間関係が変わってしまった時期のため、アルバムにもそのような心境の変化が表れてしまったのか、全体的にパッとしないアルバムになってしまっています。ですが、『YOU』『路上の花束』『Midnight Moon』などは好きですね。
