電車の車掌のアナウンスを歌詞にしたユニークな曲で一躍脚光を浴びた彼らの新作。今回は東北エリアをメインに京浜急行を加え、モーターサウンドを十分に楽しめる。


内容 (「CDジャーナル・レビュー」より)

鉄道コミック・ソングといえば、かつて「目蒲線」なんて曲があったけど、MOTOR MANの新しいところは、現実の一コマの中から“面白いと感じる瞬間”を切り取っている技。電車の車内アナウンスをコラージュしただけではここまでは可笑しくならない。素早く抜け目のない編集センスも含めたラッパー的、DJ的視点の勝利だ。駅名を全部暗記してる子供なんかのつまらなさとは違うのだ。2000年度有線大賞を受賞してしまった彼ら。なんと今回のシングルはリスナーからの要望により仙台に北上。首都圏用「京浜急行編」もあり。 (松永良平) --- 2001年03月号

何が素晴らしい、って、あのびゅいーんって音のＶＶＶＦを再現するっていうのも無茶苦茶快挙ですが（１オクターブアップなんかする訳ない無いし、電車にターボなんか有る訳無いんだけど、そんな事はどーでも良くなる納得力が物凄い）横浜→品川間ではＪＲをぶっちぎる快感っていう、沿線住民と鉄っちゃんしか理解しないであろう場面を再現した、って事ですね。何が京急のキモか、って、この区間のスピード感ですからねえ。実際やってそうな（やってないって）運転手と車掌の会話も素晴らしい。本当に商売になっているのか？っていう濃密な鉄ちゃん濃度が理解出来る人には強力にお勧めです。

「秋葉原~南浦和」以来ずっと聞きつづけてきたが、「京急快特」は久々に「度肝を抜かれた」。「本当に車掌と運転手はこんなことを言いながら運行しているんじゃないか」と思いながら聞いていた。横浜品川間で猛烈なデッドヒートを繰り広げる、スピード感あふれる京急快特に無性に乗ってみたくなった。

5.0 out of 5 stars 漏れの京急のヘビーユーザー時代を思い出すにょ, 2003/6/11
実は私、小学校以前から２０００年末まで、２０年以上も京急沿線に住んでいたんですけど、
まぁよくここまで作ってくれたというか、京急ユーザー時代が懐かしいというか、
とにかく実際に乗車しているような臨場感がすごいですね。

すでに２０年前から旧国鉄の東海道線相手にゴボウ抜きを演じてました。

先代の６００系(直角カルダン)の｢”釣りかけ風”サウンド｣も沿線の伝説となっていますが、
数年前に登場した２１００系の「シーメンス系ドレミファサウンド」も、早くも”殿堂予約”している雰囲気です。
私も、実際に２１００系にもよくお世話になりましたけど、
本当に｢この歌｣の通りに爆走してくれるんですよ。

現在私は、かっての京急のライバルだったＪＲ東海道線の沿線に引っ越し!ましたが、
今でも東海道線を横目に元気に爆走しまくっています。
最近の京急は、鉄道他社が各面で均一化していく中にあって、
かなり個性(鉄分)が”濃く”なっているようです。
この歌を聞いた皆さんも、実際に京急２１００系のシーメンスサウンドを生で体験してはいかがでしょうか。

(私は年齢的にちょっとつらいかも・・・・）
