フィンランド出身の5人組による、本邦デビュー作『ウェイスティング・ザ・ドーン』(99年)に続く通算5作目。近年、フィンランドからはトゥー・ダイ・フォーやHIMといった新進のゴシック・バンドが次々と登場してきているが、彼らも前作より大胆にゴス・テイストを採り入れ、英国のパラダイス・ロストとアメリカのタイプ・オー・ネガティヴをミックスしたかのようなその暗鬱サウンドは、当然本作にも受け継がれている。呟くような低音ヴォイスと意外にキャッチーなメロディのギャップが何とも心地よい。 (奥村裕司) --- 2001年02月号
