個人的には苦手ながら（笑いのつぼがよくわからない）、ときどきとても好きな作品を作るウディ＝アレンの名作「ギター弾きの恋」のサントラです。

映画はフェリーニの「道」を彷彿させるつくりですが、ショーン＝ペンがかなり渋い演技を見せていて、正直彼の代表作ではないかと思っています。

ショーン＝ペン演じるエメットが天才ギタリストである設定のため、映画中の楽曲が素晴らしいスコア揃いです。
いわゆるジプシー・ジャズと呼ばれるヨーロッパ生まれの匂いがするこのスコアは、普通のジャズよりも日本人受けするのではないのでしょうか。

どことなく旋律に物悲しさや切なさ、あるいは諦観のようなごく軽い負の領域が混ざっていて映画の中で最高の効果をあげています。
ウディ=アレンの音楽に対する敬意が表れている顕著な作品だと思います。

秋の夕べに聞いて、正直涙ぐんだりした経験もあるほどのお勧めの１枚です。しっとりと聴いてもらいたいですね。

私はけっこうジャズが好きなのですが、詳しくないので弾いている面々のことも知らないのです。ですが、「とってもいい」と感じたのは確かです。音色が綺麗だし、温かくて、ちょっと懐かしい雰囲気です。たぶん、そのままジャズのコンピレーションにしても通用するのではないかと思います。早く、お金を貯めようと思いました。

特に１４曲目は素晴らしいのひとことです。
ジプシージャズを意識した、ジャズ映画サントラの
最高峰だと思います。
