   子どもたちが未来から来たロボット、テトラと共に、異星人の侵略から地球を守るというSFファンタジー。監督は、これがデビュー作となるビジュアルエフェクト出身の山崎 貴。
   少年たちの友情と勇気、そして少女への憧れというジュブナイル（児童読み物）の普遍的なテーマに、タイムトラベルや町の電気屋さん＝天才物理学者というSF映画の約束事も押さえたガッチリとした構成のエンターテイメント作品。
   マドンナ役の鈴木 杏をはじめ、子役たちの自然な演技で港町を走り回る子どもたちの生活感が、CGで合成されたロボットと異星人の戦いをたんなる絵空事にしていないあたりは、さすがにビジュアルエフェクトを知りつくした監督である。エンディングは『ドラえもん』ファンなら涙なしには見られないかも。（堤 昌司）

　子供たちの夏休みには、いろんなロマンとかドラマとかミステリーとか、なにかしら面白いことがあって、それがいい思い出になったりするんだよなー。
この映画を見てて、そんなことを思ってしまった。

　まー、この映画みたいなことは起こるわけないけど、でも子供時代の夏休みのわくわく感がすごく伝わってきて、それが何より良かった。

　とにかく何も余計なことを考えず物語にのめりこんで、感動させてくれる。

　絶対おすすめの一本です！！

子供向けの夏休み映画と思いきや、なんの、大人もメチャクチャ感情移入してしまう映画！「スタンドバイミー」が感傷的に迫ってくるのに対して、こちらはあっけらかんと、でも子供心の切ないものを伝えてきます。

ＳＦだけど、少年友情物で、こんな邦画は今まで見たことがない！ＳＦＸも高いレベルだが、よくあるようなＳＦＸ技術に溺れるような愚を犯していない。これは傑作です。

ああいう夏が本当にあったらいいなあと思わせるいい作品だと思います。CGもとてもすごいです。山下達郎さんの曲もいいですよね。
