パート１につづき、キャラクターも変わったパート2。
音楽の風味もガラットとかわりながらも、相変わらずの鷺巣節がまわりまくっています。
宮里久美の歌声にも磨きがかかり、名曲「秘密く・だ・さ・い」と「ロンリー・サンセット」を歌い上げています。
この当時、握手会やサイン会に通ったことが思い出されます。

80年代OVAにはまった人なら、とにかく黙って聞いてみよう!

　サントラはテレビ番組のＢＧＭとして使われることが多いが、アニメのサントラから持ってこられると音効さんのセンスの良さと幅の広さにニヤリとさせられる。「ドラえもん」や「機動戦士ガンダム」など、いわゆる「ベタ」なものは意図的であるにしろないにしろこの範疇ではないが、逆に「！」とうならせてくれるのが、「戦闘メカザブングル音楽集」と、この「メガゾーン２３Part２」ではないかと思う。
　特に、このアルバムの「キープ・オン・ラヴィング」は、わずか２分程度の短さであるが、開放的な美しいフレーズが印象に残り、頻繁に使われることが多い「名曲」である。宮里久美の「秘密く・だ・さ・い」も８０年代的なパワーポップで佳曲だ。いずれにしても鷺巣詩郎の職人技が光る名アルバムであることに間違いない。故に廃盤にもならず、殿堂ツインのようにパッケージにもならず、リリースから２０年以上経った今でも単品で入手可能なのである。
　埋もれさせるには惜しいので、皆さん是非手に取ってください。必ず「あ、聴いたことある！」となるはずです。

鷺巣詩郎がいかに音楽的なサウンドトラックを作っていたかを思い知る作品。ガンダム...までさかのぼらなくても、ナディアやエヴァンゲリオンのイメージが強い1990年代以降の作品とは一線を画す、ハードロック色の強いサウンド。
まるで久石譲のJ9スペシャルロックショーだ!! （だれも知らねーって）
