　第二次世界大戦下のドイツ・知覧・ビルマを舞台にした、3本の短編からなるＤＶＤです。
　人間としての尊厳・愛する人や大切な仲間・人生の意義・、そういった大切なものを守るために、ある者は愛する人や過去の栄光を、またある者は自分の命を捧げた、そんな男たちの物語です。もちろん、涙なしでは観れません。

　個人的には「音速雷撃隊」が一番好きかな。
　文句なく☆５つ。

ザ・コックピットや戦場マンガシリーズで有名な松本零士。戦争賛美ではなく、戦う男同士の友情、死に行く男を見守る女たちの極限の状況を描いた作品。戦場シリーズの方がメジャーな中、あえてコックピットのこの３作品を選んだのは、負け戦中の男の最後の意地を描いているのではないでしょうか？今の男には見当たらない。。

戦場まんがシリーズの最初の映像化は映画キャプテンハーロックの冒頭、石原裕次郎の朗読で始まる『スタンレーの魔女』だと思う。ＦＭのラジオ劇場でも数点が取り上げられたことがある。松本零士のすばらしい全シリーズを映像化していただきたい。

神保町の中古レコード屋でシングルCDを見つけ速攻で購入、主題歌の「悲しいときはいつも…」はC/Wなんですね、探してる方は気を付けて。
