初めてライヴを観た時の痛快さ、あれがまず忘れられない。バラードさえ轟音。女の子ヴォーカルにありがちな自己陶酔など微塵もなく、ひたすらヘヴィ、ひたすらデカい声で一直線上を見据えながらユウは、見事にその一曲を歌い上げた。ヒリヒリする感覚の感動は、そのとき以来まだ味わっていない。また、弱冠ハタチと思えぬGSテイストorサーフ・ミュージック色豊かなリズム・パターン&ギター・ワーク。主旋律に見られる華やかなりし頃の匂いを携えた黄金の歌謡テイスト。一方でいかにもハタチらしくハジけた荒々しいガレージ・パンク要素(やはり根っこはココでしょうか)……など、(4)の“欲しいものは手に入れるの♪”ではないが、自分たちなりにミクスチャーしたその蛇足歩行サウンドは、ライヴという直談判の場でも私を非常に気持ち良くノック・アウトしてくれた。これはそんな彼女たちの1枚目。その魅力を手っ取り早く知ってもらうために“やっと出てくれた”一枚、そんな気分である。 (ささきまる) --- 2001年01月号

「太陽」、「ジェットにんぢん」、「こいのうた」を含む１st。
いかにもデビューアルバム的、な彼女達のコアと荒削り感に
溢れていて非常に活きのいい楽曲が聴ける。
この頃は単なるギャルバン的な見方もあったが、
歌詞のユーモアも曲の構成も只者ではない何かを感じさせる。
「こいのうた」は言わずと知れた名曲。

このアルバムには、「こいのうた」「太陽」「ジェットにんぢん」などの
有名どころが入っているのもミソですが、後半になるにつれて、
びっくりするくらい激しくなってゆきます。
私が好きなのは、「行方不明」とか「ロック」「パンク」あたり
なんですけれどもねｗちょっと感じたことを書いてみます。

今の日本では、何不自由無く暮らせるし、食べるのに困るなんてことも
ないですよね。だけど何か息苦しい、自由だからこそ、どこに向かって
いいのか分からない。今の若者たちはそんな行き場のない
怒りや不安を抱えているんじゃないかと思うのですが、
アッコの詞はそれを上手く表現できてるなーと思いました。

これらの曲から見える怒りには、その対象や方向性が見当たりませんが、
それがかえってリアルに聞こえます。
多少ひねくれ気味の詞が、また、少しもかわいこぶらない
ユウの歌声で更に説得力を増して響いてきます。

…とまあ色々書きましたが、とにかく、GOGOの中でもこのアルバムは
傑作だと思います。彼女達からたくさんパワーをもらいました(^^)

真っ直ぐに突き進む声と音と歌詞。

聴けば聴くほど味が出る
噛めば噛むほど味が出る
そんなアルバムだと思いました。

しっとりとした｢こいのうた｣から
激しい｢ロック｣｢パンク｣まで
荒削りな彼女達の音楽が
この一枚に凝縮されています。
