古き良き布袋さんです。ボウイを離れ、暑かった頃の布袋、聴きゃ分かるんだけどなあ。メリーゴーランドのソロは世界ナンバーワン、ギターソロだす。間違いない。かっといて間違いない。

傑作GUITARHYTHM2からしばらくして「Lonely Wild」のシングルが届けられその熱さに期待感が膨らんだ。GUITARHYTHM3で突如、鋲打革ジャンを着込んだジャケットを見て驚愕。
当時、このライブアルバムは大人気だった。熱い布袋サウンドがたっぷり詰まっている。どこかノスタルジックなメロディも良かった。中でも特筆は「Wild Love」。アルバム収録よりロングバージョンでこのライブアルバムのハイライト。常にスタイルを変容し続けた当時の布袋はデヴィッド・ボウイのように思えた。

布袋のアルバムはソロになってから「SUPRERSONIC GENERATION]まで聴いたけど、
自分が最高だと思うのはやっぱりこのアルバムかなと思う。もう本当に何回聴いたか
分からない位。ひとつひとつの楽曲も良いけど、曲順もすごくドラマチックで
全体で一つの系をなしているようにさえ思えた。時折挿まれている布袋のＭＣも
今の彼からは感じない、死語かもしれないけどロッカーらしい孤独感や焦燥感、
そんなものを真に感じる事が出来た。　このアルバムを初めて聞いたのは大学生で
、今や中年になってしまった私は久しぶりにこのアルバムを引っ張り出して聴いて
みたけれど、年を重ね彼と同じ様に変わってしまったのか、当時聴いた時のように
このアルバムの世界に浸ることはできなかった。でもこのアルバムを聴いて
何かを深く感じていた自分というのは確かにあったのだなと思った。
時代は変わっても若者の孤独感、焦燥感は大きくは変わらないと思う。
だから当時の布袋を知らない若者に聞いてもらいたい、きっと何か魅かれるものがあると思う。
