実は奥田民生や矢野顕子らによる『LIVE Beautiful Songs』にかなりヤラれた僕なのだが、本作も“うたの力”をまざまざと見せつけられるアルバムだと思う。99年の春と冬に行なわれ、新日本フィルハーモニー交響楽団と共演した“misato'99 うたの木”より12曲に、新曲「Gift」をプラスした完全生産限定盤。いまさらなのかもしれないが、デビュー当時を知るものとしては彼女もすっかり大人のアーティストになったのだなぁと感慨深さも。いち音いち音を噛み締めるように、“うた”と真正面から向き合うヴォーカルが印象的。 (兒玉常利) --- 2001年01月号

　1999年の春と秋に行なわれた「うたの木コンサート」のライブ盤。新日本フィルとの競演によって、歌手・渡辺美里の新境地が感じられるアルバム。

　このコンサートのために、収録されている作品が全面的にオーケストラ用のアレンジに施されています。そのため、オリジナル作品とは異なった新しい魅力が醸し出され、とても聴き応えのあるアルバムに仕上がっています。 　その中でも特に出色の出来映えなのが、「シンシアリー」、「ランナー」、「THE　ROSE」そして「My　Love　Your　Love」。

　作品のもつ品質の高さ、オーケストラとの信頼感そして彼女の並外れた歌唱力の高さによって、このような素晴らしいアルバムとなっているのでしょう。 　新日本フィルが醸し出している豊かでドラマチックなサウンドと渡辺美里の存在感のある凛とした歌声を聴きながら、ゆったりとした心豊かな時間を過ごしてみませんか。

　なお、音楽だけでは物足りない方にはDVD版「うたの木　Welcome」も発売されています。
