幼いころに見て、ずっと心に残っていた作品。近所のレンタルビデオ店でお目にかかれなかったのでとうとう買ってしまった。

リアルさを求めると「それってどうよ？」と思うところもあるが、まさに「童話」として見るとこの上なく良い作品。
全体に古さは否めないものの、差し引いても今でも十分他人に薦められる。

なんといってもエンディングの『美しい星』がしびれる。ここまで作品全体の出来に影響を与える曲は稀だろう。それを体験するためだけでも見る価値有り。

AM神戸の某長寿アニソンラジオ番組で人気投票をやると、
常連のようにランクインしてくる挿入歌が印象的です。
「約束」はこの作品のテーマとなる言葉を題した曲。
「美しい星」はラストシーンに流れる物語全体を象徴する美しい曲。
最後にウィンダリアの木をバックに流れる「美しい星」を聴いた時、
この飾り気ない悲劇を宝物として心に刻むことが出来るでしょう。
鑑賞後も心に残る、最近ちょっと少なくなった「名作」です。

ちなみに「約束」「美しい星」とも最近はカラオケで歌えたりします。

約束をテーマにした藤川桂介さん原作の同タイトル小説のアニメション映画。 約束を守らなかったために、二つの国が戦争をはじめたり、仲の良かった夫婦が離れ離れになったりいろんな子とが起こってしまいます。 なかなか考えさせられる作品です。

キャラクターデザインは、いのまたむつみさんが担当しています。あとエンディングの「美しい星」という歌がきれいなとってもいい歌です。

昔に見ていまだに忘れられない作品です。とても考えさせられる内容だし、『美しい星』も泣けてしまいました。
